Camera Angles do not only make a picture look good, but it also contributes to how the audience see a character or a shot. It can make a character look strong, powerful, or even weak. It enhances the overall mood of the picture/film. It is one of the most important aspects in magazines when it comes down to images being used in magazines. These can create eye catching and visually appealing images which can convey the message to the audience and help them to keep reading the magazine. Below are some of the most used camera angles and techniques: (all the images used in the following have been extracted from the internet)
Extreme Long Shot
It is often used as an establishing shot of a scene which displays the general location of where scene is set at.

Long Shot
Long shot usually shows the scenery/landscape of a setting where an event is about to take place.

Mid Shot
Also known as an Medium shot, it includes the subject from head to waist. It helps the viewers to see the face and emotions of the character clearly as well as his interactions with the surrounds or other characters at the same time.

Full Shot
It consists of the character filling the whole frame head to toe while also showing the background at the same time. For example a character walking. It creates an equal balance between the subject and the background.

Close-up
In this, the frame only contains the point of focus like the subject's face. This shot allows the filmmakers to tell the audience that something is important.

Extreme Close-up
It includes a part of an object or an face. The frame is very close to the subject that it cuts the outer areas of the subject. This is common in horror movies and creates an intense mood for the audience.

Eye Level Angle
It puts the viewers to an equal level as the character. It makes the audience feel comfortable with the character and is commonly used in films.

High Angle
In this, the camera looks down on the subject. This makes the subject look small or vulnerable.

Bird's Eye View
In this, the camera is elevated really high and looks down upon a scene. It is usually used in establishing shots.

Low angle View
Low angle is the perspective from the subject being shown in the high angle. The camera look up towards a subject making them look more dominant and confident over the others.
