Code and Conventions in Media are the basic rules between the designers and the audience which draws out the foundations of what is to be expected in a particular genre.
The word "code" in Code and Convention is about the techniques of the media production which contributes to the visual aspect of a production, such as camera angles, lighting and editing. On the other hand, "conventions" are the expected developments and themes which are historically produced throughout. For example, a sad movie has a convention of a happy ending.

When it comes down to code and convention of my magazine, I will be using calm and under-exposed colors like light pink which would create a non-threatening and calm environment for the audience. Other than that, the overall fonts are going to be clear and separated from the background making it much more comfortable for the audience to read.
Furthermore, I will be using non judgmental and empowering tone for my text body which would encourage the audience to maintain their own mental health. Lastly, my magazine would talk about mental health sensitively to avoid discouragement and stigmatization
